City to Dump Bridge, SWP, and Manu

Boss Roberto Mancini is ready to change the face of Manchester City, his first objective will be to dump Shaun Wright-Phillips, Emmanuel Adebayor, Stephen Ireland, and Wayne Bridge.

Selling off these players will free up £50million, which is exactly how much they want to offer for Fernando Torres.

In addition to the big layoffs Mancini will be asking for full power over all transfers.

Mancini is probably going to get what he wants since he's leading City into the Champions League and has pretty much sold everyone on a Premier League title in 2010-2011.

SWP has only started six matches, since returning to City in August 2008, he cost the club £8.5 million.

Adebayor, came from Arsenal last year and has been very productive scoring 13 goals in 28 matches.

Bridge, well we've read pretty much everything about him in the tabloids, from injury to the fight with ex-pal John Terry over ex-fiancee Vanessa Perroncel, he costed the club £10 million.

Europa League Triumph Highlights Benitez’s Contradictions

As Fernando Torres lifted the ball over Benfica’s keeper in the 82nd minute Anfield rose in acclaim of the Spanish marksman and roared its relief at the conclusion of a tense 12 minute spell following Oscar Cardozo's goal that hauled the visitors back into the game. On the touchline Rafa Benitez reacted, as he often does, with calm composure. Torres’s goal, superbly taken by a striker reaching his peak, was a fitting reward for a powerful and unrelenting performance by the home side displaying an intensity missing for most of the season.

Liverpool a Sinking Ship

The city of Liverpool is one of England's proudest and most historic sea ports. How ironic, then, that Liverpool's famed soccer team was last week described as a "sinking ship" by one of it's own players. In the summer of 2008 Spanish international Albert Riera was brought in by Rafa Benitez to add width to the Red's attack. After a successful first campaign in which he scored 3 goals in 28 appearances, the pacey winger has spent most of this season on the side line, only managing 9 Premier League starts.
