Last night I was flipping thru channels and I got caught on something very fantastic, I use the word very because it really was fantastic. In my house the Spanish speaking channels are 16 and 17, I think 1 of them is Telemundo the other one might me Univision but it might as well be called half naked Spanish women walking around the house, the yard, the school, the church…. You get the point. I really was looking for some kind of sport to watch, it was about 9:30 p.m. and I knew the Mets were coming on soon but as soon as I reached channel 16 my batteries might just as well have died because I wasn’t about to change what I found.

There’s no better feeling in sports than winning. The euphoria that is triggered by winning can’t be denied. Any competitive person feels it too as you love to win, but hate losing even more.  

There has been a lot of movement on the 2010 Preakness Stakes odds since having been posted beginning of the week. The favorite is Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver at 2:1 with Lookin At Lucky at 13:4

To quote 2009 World Champion Jenson Button, “It's Monaco Baby, Yeah!”

Well then, that was qualifying. There isn't really a whole lot to report apart from the fact that the Red Bull Racing cars are absolutely terrifyingly quick. Like, I think they could easily out pace Superman over a long distance – they are that quick. Still, there have been lots of interesting tidbits coming out of today's session and you can read all about 'em over at www.TheBlackStuff.co.uk. You can't read about them here, though, as this is for the serious stuff – betting!

I really do dislike these three week Research & Development breaks which F1 has. I mean, I know that they are vitally important to the improvement of the cars but they really suck for fans. Although part of the allure of the sport is all the back office bickering which takes place during these barren spells, it just doesn't make up for those lonely Sunday afternoons. Anyway, none of that matters right now, as we are back racing!
